Break-Ups: 10 Songs to Get You Through the Hard Times

Through the Hard Times

Break-ups happen every day and all the time; I f we are candid, a lot of us have had our fair share of break-up. If you’ve settled down or you’ve found the one and you believe you are out of the break-up zone (can anyone ever really be sure?), then congratulations to you.
For those who have had some experience, they know that break-ups can be sudden and devastating. Some other times, you can feel it all going down the drain because things haven’t been as smooth as expected but even at that nothing really prepares you for a break-up. You may think you’re totally over that person but find yourself nursing an emptiness and sadness that you never expected. Most of the times, you need something to get you through.
If you’ve never had a break-up, we sincerely pray that you sail through life without one but the truth is that one might just be around the corner. It might even be that you may experience a few heartbreaks and break-ups before you finally find that perfect soul-mate. This is not intended to scare you, we’re just being real.
Anyways, the bottom line is that whenever you end a close romantic relationship where you shared important parts of yourself with another person in an intimate way, you’ll probably need time to recover. It doesn’t really matter whether you were the one who ended the relationship or whether you couldn’t wait for both of you to part ways; you need some time to grieve , to reflect on  and take the important lessons of the experience.
We often use conversations with our friends and confidants to process a lost relationship and move forward. Sometimes we move on talking to others who’ve had a similar experience or simply by thinking hard about everything that happened and making important decisions for the future. Most of the time with a combination of all the available means to get back to our single, emotionally available selves again and this story wouldn’t be complete if didn’t one major heartbreak or break-up processing tool – break-up songs.

If you’re laughing, it’s because you know that this is the truth and honestly, songs really help us process our past and broken relationships. Sometimes, we find a songs that talks about things that happened to us or communicates our exact feelings, sometimes we find songs that brings us to tears and help us mourn adequately. At other times we find feel-good songs that tell us to forget the exes because they are the losers and we’re just too good for them.
Whatever the magic it is, break-up songs offer us an opportunity to quietly process some of the things we may not be interested in discussing with others. And while they cannot replace other parts of the process that including taking responsibility for mistake and making better choices, they can help in the healing process.
This is why we’re offering this list of 10 break-up songs that we really like. So whether you’re sad, angry, or relieved, you can process things with this break-up songs or recommend them for someone who’s just had a break-up.
